LCD Soundsystem n'est plus et c'est bien dommage. James Murphy a préféré dissoudre le groupe en pleine gloire lors d'un mémorable concert au Madison Square Garden en avril dernier.
Us Vs Them est sorti en 2007 sur l'album Sound Of Silver.

Bot'Ox - Theme du film Mineurs 27

Le film Mineurs 27 de Tristan Aurouet sortira demain dans les salles. Cosmo Vitelli et Julien Briffaz, autrement dit Bot'Ox signent un Theme from Mineurs 27 à l'occasion (chez I'm A Cliché). Ils viennent de réaliser le clip :

Cosmo Vitelli - Night Dogs versions

Cosmo Vitelli (Benjamin Boguet), créateur du label I'm A Cliché (Simian Mobile Disco ou Bot’Ox), vient de sortir un nouveau maxi Night Dogs. La première est une tuerie cold house avec Nakion, dj productrice coréenne qui a sorti un album chez Tigersushi (Oh Ah!). Suivent les versions de Daniel Maloso et Tim Paris.

PIL (Public Image Limited) - Death Disco (1979)

Après avoir oeuvré comme chanteur des Sex Pistols dès 1975 (sous le pseudonyme de Johnny Rotten), John Lydon forme Public Image Limited en 1978.  

En 1979, après la sortie de leur second album Metal Box, PIL reprend le morceau Swan Lake et sort un Ep qui deviendra Death Disco.

Le guitariste du groupe, Keith Levene, déclarera en 2001 (Perfect Sound Forever) à propos du morceau : "I used 'Swan Lake' for the melody. The reason it was called 'Death Disco' was because it was about John's mum. The person he was singing about, 'seeing in your eyes,' was his mother dying. That's what John was singing about very passionately, I might add. From my point of view, I was just trying to do something with the music. I didn't know what he was singing about at the time – he was just: "It's 'Death Disco' Keith, that's what it is!"

In Flagranti, groupe New Yorkais composé de Alex Gloor et Sasha Crnobrnja, a sorti ce Ep sorti en 2008. Ils sonnt spécialistes d'une disco électro vintage avec un penchant pour l'esthétique porn 70's.

LCD Soundsystem, last show in NY 2 avril 2011 au Madison Square Garden

Ca y est, c'est fini, James Murphy a mis fin à l'expérience LCD Soundsystem par un dernier concert au Madison Square Garden ce week-end. Démesuré : une trentaine de morceaux en plus de 3h30 de show pour cloturer dix ans de LCD.
